How to remove particular user from group ?

Hi everyone,

i want to remove user 'rock' from group 'HR' ?

please tell me the command for removing user from that group.

 usermod -G {existing, groups, except, one, to, remove, from} someuser

"man usermod" for more information, you would be surprised at what you will find in the man pages, if you actually read them.

Just to note, that in openSUSE the options -A and -R exist in usermod, and as you guess: to add or remove a secondary group of a user.
