How can I configure it as domain controller like windows server and add users to it.Please provide me a step by step guide as I am new to Linux..

Thanks

If Samba is taking on the responsibilities of a PDC, It's recommend making it the domain master browser as well.

Code:
[global]
    domain master = yes
    preferred master = yes
    local master = yes
    os level = 255
In this case the samba server (os level = 255) always beats the election over a Windows server set to BDC
Samba as domain master

I have written a blog to use samba3 and samba 4 as PDC and AD respectively
here you can follow the link

Samba4 as AD

Samba3 as PDC
