Hi,

If you still use the MASQUERADE_AS option replace again the leading single quote with a backtick.

i am not using masquerade option,it is commented out.sir, when ever i uncomment SMART_HOST option it shows error.so error should be there.i have tried each and every thing but all in vain

Then the error is somewhere else in sendmail.mc, before the SMART_HOST definition.
Check if you have any blank spaces in the lines that are not comments, or perhaps you can post the whole .mc here so we can take a look.

Question

how to paste the whole file?my file contains 174 lines and i used
