How to Create a Bootable USB?

I want to create a bootable USB for RHEL AS 4 Update 6.
I attempted creating Bootable USb through dd command but it asked me for type of media installation like FTP, HTTP, Hard Drive etc.
I dont want to do like this way.I want it to boot from USb and carry out installation completely from USB not thru Hard Drive or NFS etc.

You need to try some of the tutorials on Pendrive Linux. You should be able to load a bootable image onto the usb drive. I suggest you use the "persistent" option so you can download updates to the usb drive but continue to use it as a live usb drive.

Here's a link from Red Hat documentation on how to create a bootable USB. I don't know if it is version specific.

I went through the link but at a specific point (see at the last few lines) it talks about Installation through NFS/HardDisk/HTTP/FTP But All I need is not such options. I want to completely install through USB only.
