How to achieve auto Login to different server through SFTP protocol

Hi all,

Kindly let me know the procedure of achieving auto login through SFTP protocol without key exchange, password entry or through expect software!!!

Does the .netrc concept support SFTP authentication???

Thanks,
Dozzy

what's wrong with a key exchange? by far the best way to do a passwordless login between two capable systems.

Another option is to use a "expect" script. It will wait for a certain prompt then enter the password or any other info you tell it. Though it's kinda tedius. I did not like the idea of key pair either as it sounded complicated but when you do it a few times it's actually not too bad. I wrote myself a quick doc that I can just refer to each time, to know which key part goes where. The ability to login without password is nice.

Is that sarcastic? It's fair to say you did rule out expect at the same time as a shared key... It really feels strange to see ytou rule out *all* of the good, logical and sane options with no reasoning. why do you not want to do any version of proper??
