How do I upgrade to latest version of J2RE using YUM on CentOS 4.4?
Hello everyone,
Just installed CentOS 4.4 and I want to make sure I have the latest version of the Java runtime environment on my machine. Currently my system shows I've got java version 1.4.2 installed, but I'm not sure that that's the latest. Can I use YUM to upgrade to the latest J2RE? ~Myles |
You don't, visit Sun's Java site and download the latest. Get the self extracting rpm version and follow the instructions available on the site,
