How do I analyse a kernel segfault sh[2026] error ?

Centos 6.5

We are getting the following error on our server prior to shutdown.

Code:
kernel: sh[2026]: segfault at 0 ip 000000000043dacf sp 00007fff6b59b460 error 4 in bash[400000+d4000]

abrtd: Directory 'ccpp-2014-12-15-08:25:25-2026' creation detected

Can somebody tell me how I can trace the cause of this error.

thanks !

ABRT is a reporting tool (because Red Hat names everything funny).

Quote:
abrtd: Directory 'ccpp-2014-12-15-08:25:25-2026' creation detected
Suggests there is a directory on your machine named "ccpp-2014-12-15-08:25:25-2026" that abrt created.
It may be of help.
You might try "abrt-gui" from the command-line and if it's installed on the server, the Red Hat bug reporting tool should automagically appear.
Whether it's going to be any help in solving the problem is a separate question.
BTW, it looks like, from the "ccpp" whatever problem your experiencing involves your c/c++ interpreter.

Thumbs up ok now

yes I took a look in the crash directory which gave plenty of information.

It was a a webmin/bash related error, fixed after updating bash.

thank you for you help
