we can't help you with such a vague question. You either need to as a much more specific question or refer to standard Squid documentation, e.g. http://www.visolve.com/system_servic...0/contents.php

this is not useful. knowing your IP address doesn't help us. we are not teachers giving out training courses on line, not are we going to spend all day cutting and pasting existing documentation. I can help you configure squid by suggesting you refer to standard documentation until you have specific queries you can ask for help about.

you're just repeating yourself now. squid have nothing at all to do with ADSL routers. You'll do yourself a favour by not mentioning them in the same context again.

Dear acid
Can U tell me, Can't I used ADSL Router to access Internet via Squid proxy server ??? |
of course you can, i said they just don't care about each other. Stop mentioning ADSL, just configure squid according to documentation. go do it. now.

dear acid
I see that document. But I can't configure squid to access Internet using Router. If U know it please explain to me. |
I know a LOT about squid. I could tell you how to do SO many things with it that may or may not fall under things that you want. I can't just start telling you EVERYTHING, that's crazy. Would you ask someone to explain how to fix cars and expect them to just reel off everything you want to know??
This is a book about squid - http://squidbook.org/index-two.html it contains 442 pages. 442 pages. that's a lot of information about "how to configure squid". Which bit do you want??? |

I don't expect everything . I know squid. But I don't know how to change squid.conf to access internet using ADSL Router.
|
Last time... there is nothing interesting about ADSL routers. it's all just TCP/IP traffic. You don't need to specifically do ANYTHING to use an ADSL connection.
|
My existing connection is ADSL.(ADSL Modem) Its Working fine. But when I change it to ADSL Router its not working. this router DHCP enabled.
|
So you are changing from using a MODEM on your server, which presumably makes some form of PPPOE conection to your ISP and gets an public routable IP address to a ROUTER where there router is making the connection and getting the public IP address and advertising a DHCP address to your squid server.
So the problem is with your networking, not particularly with squid, sort your network out first, ensure that you can successfully ping and access external sites from the command line of your squid server first. |
