how can i configure my overseas squid server packets NOT be filtered by the local ISP

Hi All

i am in some country that is blocking some websites from accessed here.
so i rented a server outside this country and i configured it to work with username and password, and its going fine.

BUT, the websites are still being filtered by the local ISP dansguardian web filter.

So, how can i setup my squid to prevent that matter?

thank you

Don't. if you can ssh into the remote machine, just run a socks proxy over ssh, no need for any remote server at all. just use the -D[port] option to tunnel over ssh. Or just use tor.

hey acid

no i can't SSH the local server( its not mine ).
the remote one is mine.

you shouldn't need to, just need to go through it. Often you can just pass the traffic through someone elses proxy OK, but again, you might want to try tor.

it is being filtered, cause im getting there blocking notification page
that they are using.

and im trying to setup a vpn-pptp connecting server, would that work?
