Unhappy host with 221.132.43.105 IP address and 255.255.0.0 netmask.

A host with 221.132.43.105 as its IP address and 255.255.0.0 as its netmask. What is the maximum number of subnets; 16 , 4, 2 or is the network not subnetted?

Per the LQ Rules, please do not post homework assignments verbatim. We're happy to assist if you have specific questions or have hit a stumbling point, however. Let us know what you've already tried and what references you have used (including class notes, books, and Google searches) and we'll do our best to help. Also, keep in mind that your instructor might also be an LQ member.

As neither cross-posting, nor posting homework verbatim, are appreciated/welcome on LQ, this thread is being closed. Please continue the discussion in the original version of this thread, linked above.

Thanks!
