Load averages go from .03 to 17.5+ for no reason (seen by me ) Could someone possibly help me figure out what is going on? Issue is temporarily solved by restarting Apache.
I'm not very knowledgeable with Linux, so please keep that in mind.
thank you!

Any processes in state D aka uninterruptible sleep?
Code:
/sbin/mount
list of mounts
Code:
df -k
Does 'df' complete quickly? If not, cancel it. What mount did it hang on (they'll be in the same order as shown by 'mount')? If still here, fix whatever storage problem you're having - reconnect the fibre, or fix the NFS server, or force unmount the drive (umount; umount -f; umount -l).
You also need to mention that distro and version you're running, and exactly what kernel (uname -srvm)
Please post your thread in only one forum. Posting a single thread in the most relevant forum will make it easier for members to help you and will keep the discussion in one place. This thread is being closed because it is a duplicate.
Meanwhile, I'll report your original thread in "Newbie" for a move to "Server".
