Please help me the "Migration to FTP server that supports AUTH command"will support in RHEL4 OS???....
The ftp servers should support the AUTH command, which provides enhanced authentication options such as TLS, Kerberos, and GSSAPI which will prevent the attackers to intercept the communication channel.
You may want to consider an "SFTP" service (FTP over SSH), or an "SSL FTP" service. Many are available that will run on RHEL4. However I'm not aware of one that comes standard with RHEL4 itself (it's been many years since I've even seen a RHEL4 disc).
Thanks for your reply,
TLS, Kerberos, and GSSAPI are licensed version are not ? we use RHEL4 but license got expired can we use any on of this certificate....
As Chrism01 said, pay for updates/support, and load the latest version.
Or you can load vsftpd, which supports certificates and the security methods you mentioned. However, xeleema has a better idea, which is use sftp.
