I recently migrated SVN to GIT. All I could see is Under a folder all SVN Projects gets collected. Now there are 9 projects under SVN Repo.
I migrated the SVN to GIT through a user called "tux".
So All it got collected under /home/tux/MySVN/repository .
When a user called bob tried working on the GIT repo through:
bob@tuxworld:~$ sudo git clone /home/tux/MySVN/repository/ECS myrep4
Initialized empty Git repository in /home/bob/myrep4/.git/
fatal: failed to open /home/tux/MySVN/repository/ECS/objects
Now When He tries:
jeet@tuxworld:~$ sudo rm -fr myrep4/
ajeet@tuxworld:~$ sudo git clone /home/tux/MySVN/repository myrep4
It Works !!!
I want a user like Bob not to see all projects but only specific projects he wants to work on.
How Can I make it possible?
Just for Your Information, The Repository Folder contains all the Project Folders.I attempted making them branches with:
$sudo git branch ECS [/tux]
And When BOB Tried the command:
$sudo git clone /home/tux/MySVN/repository/eCS myrep4
He gets error.
How can I limit him to required project.
