Having Problems with Active Directory with Windows Server 2008

Having problems with ubuntu, joining it to a windows server 2008 domain.

Was wondering if maybe there was an easier distro i could use and a different program other than samba (too difficult plus i read it cant do active directory ne ways). Was wondering if anyone had a good guide starting with distro and any programs i could install to make setting up this active directory easier.

Do you want to access some active directory services from Linux? If so, which ones?

If you mean "can I administer AD from Linux", have a look at 'adtool'.
