Getting problem in authenticating winxp machine with samba server.
Hi All,
I have configured samba server on fedora machine and i am trying to authenticate a winxp machine through samba server but the issue is winxp machine is not becoming the part of the domain. The error is
A domain controller for the domain HOMEDOMAIN could not be contacted.
Ensure that the domain name is typed correctly.
If the name is correct, click Details for troubleshooting information.

Have you posted the complete smb.conf? The reason I ask is that at no point in what you have posted is there a name for your samba server. You have defined the domain name, but that is not the same as the server name! You need to look around at how others approach this. For authenticating a winxp machine you dont have to configure the smb.conf file.
Post the command line by which you were trying to authenticate a winxp machine .
