FREECOM USB drive crashed Proftp failing to start as a service

Hi,

I have just worked out why a while ago my proftpd service failed to start, my FREECOM external USB drive has just crashed.

Allot of my FTP folders where on that and now proftp just fails to run.

I am running Fedora 10, but everytime I run the command service proftpd it just fails to start, has anyone else had this problem, if so can someone help me get around it, cant seem to work it out.

Can someone help please?
