Folder copied to Samba from OSX machine has wrong permissions

I have a samba server, and 99% of it's users are windows 7 users. When windows users copy folders to it, they get drwxrwxrw- permissions. I had a Mac user copy something to it and it got drwxr-xr-x. The only difference I can think of between the two users is their OS.
Does what happened make any sense to anyone?
