Fetchmail: same email to multiple local ids

How do i configure fetchmail to drop mail from a single email id to multiple local ids?

In multidrop there is something of an enevelop checking. But non of my local ids have anything common with the email id that is being polled.

Also using * is not an option as I want to fetch mail for a couple of ids and not all local ids.

I tried this -
poll mail.mail.com no envelope user "user@maill.com" pass "password" to "local1@local.com" "local2@local.com"
but thats not working. Mail is being bounced back saying could not find matching local user with user@mail.com.
