fetchmail for imap

The county of my city uses Lotus Domino as its mail server. The county has to pay $200 000 US (600 users) a month for their agenda and email. In a third world country as mine, all this money should be use on education instead of paying IBM the right to use email.

Any way, we had found the alternative with egroupware (www.egroupware.org) with its web interfase and mozilla thunderbird with lightning plugin as clients. We had make a demo for them and they like the product.

The main problem we have right now is migration. All the mails are saver on the Lotus Domino server. We need to migrate all the emails. The first tool I thought was fetchmail and download all the emails via pop3. But this is not the best solution because de server clients need to backup their folder structure. So that is why I thought something like fetchmail, but for imap would be the solution. Is there something like fetchmail for imap?

You might consider imapsync
Also check out the "SIMILAR SOFTWARE" section at the bottom of imapsync's README.
