Fedora 16 systemctl error

I have a VPS running fedora 16 (fedora 15 installed that I upgraded to 16)

Everything worked perfectly until a while ago when I get the following error whenever I want to start/stop/restart a service:

Code:
Failed to get D-Bus connection: Failed to connect to socket /org/freedesktop/systemd1/private: Connection refused

Even if I just run systemctl in terminal I get the above error.

Please help as it is driving me nuts, and I can't start any service

Thanx.

How do I do a clean install of systemd?

I only have ssh access to the server, so I don't want to lose access if I uninstall something.

It is installed by default when the new OS in installed, you need to look in here, systemd.
