FC6 - php-mysql moduie help

So, since FC5 the mysql module is turned off in php... I just installed FC6 (back to Linux after playing wow too long)

I tried everything i know to make php work with mysql, but it seems its not enough.

I installed and compiled php 5.2,

i did ./configure -with-mysql=/var/lib/mysql
make
make install
restarted apache..

But it does not work.

What am i doin wrong?
