FC6 not booting up due to addition of line to /etc/rc.d/rc.local

i Folks !

I am using a FC6 system kernel 2.6.18. My system is not booting up. All services are started successfully but after that the GUI does not come up and the system hangs on forever.

I even tried going to the command -line but no success.

I did a blunder by adding a line:
/usr/local/racoon2/sbin/ikev2_socket_server
to /etc/rc.d/rc.local file.

This ikev2_socket_server is a TCP Server.

I'm sure that the problem is due to this very addition of line to the rc.local file. System will boot up successfully if and only if this line is removed.

Please some one help me booting the system.

Thanks and regards,
Rajat

1. Boot From First installation cd.
Choose " linux rescue "
First it will detect drivers for keyboard/mouse etc.
It will ask for mounting root filesystem on /mnt/sysimage.
After mounting, it will show you Shell prompt.
# chroot /mnt/sysimage
# vi /etc/rc.d/rc.local
Remove unnecessary line.
Save and exit.
# exit
# reboot

OR

2. Boot from live cd.
Mount required partition under /mnt/drive1 with Read/Write permission.
Remove unnecessary line from /mnt/drive1/etc/rc.d/rc.local.
Reboot
