Ethernet configuration for proxy server

Hi all,
my squid server is running properly with two network cards, eth0 and eth1, with ips (192.168.2.1,192.168.1.102),
two devices are in different network ranges(192.168.2.0,-----92.168.1.0)
my question is====>>>> IS IT POSSIBLE TO GIVE IP IN SAME NETWORK RANGE FOR ETHERNET DEVICES IN SQUID PROXY SERVER???
FOR EXAMPLE eth0=192.168.1.1 eth1=192.168.1.102
pls help me

Sure it is. Run:

ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.1 netmask 255.255.255.0 up

Check if the netmask is correct and change it accordingly.
To make the change permanent, you need to use your distro's tools to setup the IP on eth0
