Please can anyone help me before I loose my mind, im trying to setup a web server and I am having issues with 1 packgage (http)

i get the below error

well here is your problem

you are using CentOS 6
but installed the incompatible "remi" repo for RHEL7

uninstall the redhat/cent 7 programs from Cent 6

for a list of installed 7 programs

Code:

su -
rpm -qa | grep el7

then UNINSTALL ALL of them

and the cent7 remi repo

then install the remi 6 repo and "yum-priorites " plugin
and CONFIGURE!!!! IT!!!!
-- you NEED TO manually configure it

read the cent documentation on the cent wiki

-- the yum plugin
http://wiki.centos.org/PackageManagement/Yum/Priorities

and the third party repo page
http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories

PS.
This might be a lost cause and UNFIXABLE!!!

1 this thread was 4 years old (2015) - you should really start a new one

2 I am surprised it doesn't say which are enabled/disabled, so I'm going to assume they are all enabled as I don't have C6.9 system handy (check the repos files to be sure).

3 please run "cat /etc/redhat-release"

4 You should (must) install/setup yum-priorities if you have ANY non-Centos repos enabled, otherwise it will bite you sooner or later.
