error squid


hi
i do install FC6 for cache server.
but dont run squid

message error:

It's a permissions problem. Make sure that the above directory /cache1 belongs to the user that runs squid (usually it's squid) and also that the squid user has write privileges to that directory.

Open squid.conf and take a look at the lines starting with: "cache_effective_user" and "cache_effective_group".
Usually in both cases the user is squid and the group is also squid.
Then run
Code:
ls -l /cache1
and if the user/group is different that squid/squid run:

chown -R squid:squid /cache1

In that case perhaps it's a Selinux problem. Make sure that you have configured Selinux accordingly, or disable Selinux
