error message?

i am getting this error while rebuilding sendmail m4 using webmin.

Failed to build configuration :

m4:/etc/mail/sendmail.mc:18: ERROR: end of file in string

"end of file in string" very confusing.
if anybody can interprit this to me. any help will be appriciated.

Hi,

There could be something wrong with the quoting in your sendmail.mc file. Maybe you mixed a single quote (') with a backtick (`).

Take a good look at line 18 (also a few line before/after that).

that worked! i kept looking at line 18 and didnt think about the backtick. so i was looking at the end of the file itself. yeah that mc file doesnt work to well right out of the box has a lot of problems reported by my server. just trying to go through and clear things up. you saved the day! thanks!
