Hi

What is the content of unix section in configuration file (in radiusd.conf, section unix { ....}) ?
For an OpenSuse 10.0, I comment out the /etc/shadow line in radius configuration section, and I authorise radiusd user to read the /etc/shadow file, Try this command groupmod -A radiusd shadow

I have the same issue. I am trying to use EAP -TLS and I am getting the same exact error message. I think it has to do with the account that you are using under raduisd.conf. I have the same issue. I have tried using root and I still cannot get anything to authenticate. Check out my post:

Can you post you radusd.conf, eap.conf. and user files?

I was able to resolve the issue by adding this statement to the users file:

PHP Code:
wireless User-Password == "Password"
now I recieve and ACCEPT when I run

PHP Code:
 radtest wireless Password XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:1812 0 SECRET
But the problem now is that I cannot get anything device to authenticate to my freeRADIUS server.
