encrypt data between squid and client

HI

I want to encrypt data between client and squid proxy and I already have squid compiled with --enable-ssl

I tried the way described here but didn't work

squid can't encrypt traffic and the howto you followed does not say how to encrypt it. It says how to configure squid so it passes the traffic between https websites and the client through squid and not directly.

If you want a secure way to proxy then try using openvpn as a VPN and direct all internet traffic through it.

java socket

you can't achieve what you want with a web proxy because the browsers do not have that ability is not implemented in the browsers nor in squid

The tutorial you are saying about explains how to make squid be able to proxy https:// websites as well

java socket
