drbd error

Hi Team,

I have configured drbd in 2 systems (ubuntu 12.04 64 bit)

following the below url .

http://forum.linode.com/viewtopic.php?t=8822

While executing the below command

# drbdadm up all

error :-

DRBD module version: 8.3.11
userland version: 8.4.1
preferably kernel and userland versions should match.

Please help me to fix the issue .I never installed userland manually .

Any help is highly appreciable .

Did you read what you posted? They are two different versions, and they should ideally match. So, either upgrade your DRBD or downgrade your userland. A brief search for the message pulls up lots:
http://en.gentoo-wiki.com/wiki/Activ...RBD_with_OCFS2

That's a warning, and can be discarded. You didn't post the entire contents of the message you got, but the tutorial that your link references is from 2010, and isn't very complete. Did you look at the drbd documentation, and read the parts about Ubuntu???

Hi TBOne,

Thanks for reply .Ours is production environment, so need to fix the warning .I never installed or upgraded userland .I think it ships with DRBD .I did not found any way to upgrade or degrade the userland version .But thanks for sharing few links , I will go though it and update you .

From the DRBD docs, the warning can be safely ignored.

Read the DRBD installation documentation on their site, and pay particular attention to the Ubuntu related sections.
