Question Dovecot fails to start when configured with imap or pop3 protocol

Hi all,

I am having a problem getting dovecot to start. the message i am getting is this

root@koicarp:/installer# /etc/init.d/dovecot start Error: Can't use mail executable /usr/lib/dovecot/pop3: No such file or directory
Fatal: Invalid configuration in /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf

Does anyone know what the problem is..?

Many Thanks,

Just stating the obvious but vi/vim/nano the conf file and then see where it is pointing to. The try to explore to find out what the path really is.

It might lead to nothing but on the other hand a tiny edit could stand between you and success.
