Hello,
I have a static IP address which allows me to run a mail server, and it has worked very well for years. Recently, when I send an e-mail to a user at the gmx.com domain, it does not get delivered. Contacted them and they said that:
Quote:
In order to be able to deliver emails to our system, please ensure that your server has a valid domain name (Fully Qualified Domain Name - FQDN) and a reverse lookup (rDNS).
We would also advise you to choose a name that it is different from the default entry of your provider, like "123-123-123-123-static.provider.tld".
$ host xxx.xx.xxx.xx
xx.xxx.xx.xxx.in-addr.arpa domain name pointer ool-6c3a9713.static.optonline.net.

I think that the right thing to do is to change something in my DNS settings. Assuming that is correct, what should I put into my DNS file? I use dyn.com for DNS services. If that is not what I am supposed to do, please let me know how I should resolve this problem.
Thank you,
Mark
