dkimproxy with postfix and shell email

Hello Gentlemen,

I have successfully configured dkimproxy to sign my outgoing emails using postfix.

When I send emails from my webmail, or from any mail client on my PCs its gets signed correctly.

The question is that when I send an email from shell, like:
mail -s'test' user@example.com

The mail does not get signed.

And that is also effecting any application using php mailer.

I have tried to check what is going on but I couldn't, can someone please let me know what am I missing here?

Some of the logs shows that sendmail is sending them from the shell?
but sendmail is not working on the box.

Looking forward to your replies.

Best wishes,
