Designing school subnet server.
I am rebuilding two microsystems servers and I need some advice to make my dreams come true.
I want to set up the servers in a RAID configuration and want to install a GUI Linux application to manage a file server, manage a subnet, and host a Moodle on my subnet. I am planning to use Asus eee netbooks running Linux as my client computers. I basically need to be able to get my kids on the web and be able to have them use some open source office suite tools. No major crunching. I'll have two Macs for that. Any ideas will be welcome... aside from scrapping the servers and netbooks. Beggars can't be choosers. |
you might want to start with looking at debain or SUSE or red hat ( centOS 5.4 or 5.5)
