Deliver mail to different direcoties

Hi, I'm trying to get working my mail server everything is ok, but the delivering thing, I have a folder for every user to deliver their messages, I'm using mbox format for it, what I'm trying to do is to deliver messages on different folders where everything about a user is concentrate in them, so for example if I have a mail to test@xdomain.com i'd delivered it to /var/homes/test/inbox where inbox is the mbox file for this user, and test is the directory where everything about test user is located.

I was trying to change some env vars but the delivery always go to /var/spool/mail/<username> mbox.

I also tried to make hardlinks to the mboxes in the /var/spool/mail/ directory but no luck.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Distro: FC6
MTA: Sendmail
IMAP: Dovecot
LDA: Procmail (i also tried somethings with dovecot/lda)
FS:ext3

========================================

Some other information about this. I use virtual users with LDAP, so no regular homes for users, my system is about to handle 8K users. When procmail deliver the mail to the hardlinked file it rename the file with BOGUS.something and create a new one. I'm in the process to migrate from an old box / distro to a new one so no lose of data is permitted.

Thanks.
