default kernel issue
Hello Guys,
as always, I appreciate your help. I update the kernel in my rhel server. However, the ser still boots from the old kernel. Strange enough, even when I commented out the old kernel, the server still booted from the old kernel. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks always |
What bootloader are you using.

Hello Emerson,
thanks for your reply. I am using GRUB Thanks |
Well, since nobody else replied ... I have no clue how RHEL works, I had RH once but I didn't like it. If it has separate partition for /boot then this may be the source of your problem. It needs to be mounted before kernel upgrade and GRUB configuration change.

And the result of ls -l /boot? How do you know it boots from the old kernel? |
