debian samba package adds system users
Hello everyone,
This may belong in the debian section... but I don't know.
I'm using Debian 4.0 (etch) and installing samba. I never noticed this before (on another debian 4.0 machine) but when I install the samba package it adds samba accounts for every user on the machine including system accounts like lp, man, nobody, mail, news, etc., etc.
This didn't seem right so I deleted all but root and a few actual users.
My question is: Is there any good reason for these users to be added to samba? Is there any users that should absolutely be there (beside root, of course)?
I just want to be sure... cuz I can't think of any reason why 'man' or 'backup' or any of these system users should be added as samba users.
Thanks.
