Question Dansguardian + Squid

Hey guys currently we are using squid as our web proxy server and we have been using it for almost a year. now we want to add a little security to using Dansguardian. I have installed dansguardian on a linux box with squid. so far the configuration that i have done is set dansguardian to listen to port 8080 and connect to squid using port 3128 where squid is listening. also i configure a browser to connected to port 8080 as its proxy. on Dansguardian bannediplist i try to banned Google and so far dansguardian is blocking access to it but my problem now is that since i only block google i should have access to other sites right? but i dont instead squid is denying my access to other sites. but i f i connect to port 3128 of squid as my proxy i have access to all sites. what could be wrong

hello
just leave it.
configure ur browser as automatic detect proxy setting.
then it will work.
Dansguardian has block so many site in default. If u want to block any more site the just add it to ur ../bansitelist file.

and if u want to enabled a site which is banned by dansguardian just add this url in .../exceptionsitelist file.

hope it will work.

So your set up looks like this?

LAN -- Dan's -- Squid -- 'Net

I have done only a little reading on this & so may 180 deg. off, but I thought it is supposed to be like this:

LAN -- Squid -- Dan's -- 'Net
