Cyrus Imap mailbox recovery problems + CentOS 5
Hi guys,
Been a while since I last posted on here, as most things have been working for me in the land of linux... well until a few days ago (Firday). Had a power failure recently and although most machines survived the mail server did not. To cut a long story short I had to 2 disks fail on a raid 5 box and the rest as they say is history. It was originally running FC4 and cyrus-imap with postfix as the MTA. The server was backed up nightly so data recovery wasn't too much of a worry for me. Since then I thought I would use the opportunity to upgrade the OS and hardware. Upgraded to CentOS 5 (RAID 6) and installed the same mail setup. The problem is that for some strange reason, I can't get the mailboxes to reconstruct. I run the following command as user cyrus:
Looked everywhere, can't seem to get it to work. Not even the reconstruct -r user.<username> in cyradm will work. I am running out of ideas, and as you know email is always seems to be life and death for some people... Any pointers that would be fantastic. Almost thinking of going back to FC4 just to get the thing to work! Knowing me though missed something really basic! |
