cups to cups printing through network on usb printer
I'm having extreme difficulty printing through my local network to a usb printer connected to another linux box.
I've looked around on google, but I apparently suck at searching because I can't find any help that is useful.
I don't really know where to start.
I've tried adding the printer, but I don't know exactly how to differentiate between the two printers connected to the server. Should cups on my client computer see the printers?
Is there anything I need to do on the server to allow them to be visible on the client machine.
Just to note:
Cups is on both.
The client machine is not directly connected to the server.
The server is not being used to serve any files to the client.
I just need a quick how-to and maybe more help later, if I still have difficulty.
I'm a tool - just found this post... dummy.
This really helped. I only had to change a couple of settings to allow my client machine to see the printer and easily add it.
You solved your own problem in only 11 minutes (including time to post a follow-up and link to the solution!)
Not bad, so cheer up ;)
