You've been posting since 2005...after NINE years, you're not a 'newbie' any longer. And we will be happy to HELP you with your script, so post what you've written/tried so far, and tell us where you're stuck. Otherwise, you can find many, MANY bash scripting tutorials on Google, as well as many examples of FTP scripts. And, a search on this site (where this has been asked/answered MANY times), also will give you direction. We are happy to help you, but we aren't going to write your scripts for you.

Also, FTP isn't the best choice...if you use SFTP/SCP it is not only much easier to script for, but more secure.

No one is 'blaming' you for anything....again, we are very happy to help you, but we are NOT going to write your scripts for you. Again, post what YOU have written/tried of your own, and tell us where you're stuck. Otherwise, go look up the tutorials that were mentioned to you, and the samples that you can easily find. Those things will get you started.
