I hope you have tried a few of these already and haven't waited on me. Windows will usually find a Samba share in Network Neighborhood, if it has the same workgroup name as the Windows box. Depending on the Windows version, you may have to go into the Control Panel to find out what it is. I think it has been "Workgroup" by default in some versions and "MSHome" in others. Just make them all the same. (I used the first two letters of the names of my children and grandchildren.)

I use LinNeighborhood to browse a Windows network on my system, and it also needs the workgroup name the same. You can also use Samba for KDE (also known as "Smb4K"), but I found this one putting a lot of traffic on my network and never figured out why.

I'm sorry, I don't know enough about MACs to help you with them. You might try Google or a MAC group.

Good luck!
