Configure squid to cache some type of objects only

Hi,

I need to configure squid server to cache certain type of objects ( pdf in my case ), as my cache partition is limited in size.

Is it there a possible way to achieve this through squid configuration ??

Yes, squid configuration is the way to go. Well, it was going to be the obvious answer be for most squid configuring type things.

You want more? Try this.

salasi,

Do you mean to use the refresh_pattern as : 'refresh_pattern . 0 0% 0' at the end.
I have tried this, and I am getting TCP_REFRESH_HIT on the object ( which is being stored in the cache as well ).
I am using squid 2.7-STABLE version.

Okay, I got it.
Using cache directive along with acl to identify the objects will solve the problem.
Thanks salasi for pointing out.
