Cluster.conf

I am running RedHat 6.7 server. In my cluster.conf file, fence devices have been set up for 3 nodes with the my username and password. I want to change the username and It seems I can just go into the file and make the changes and save the file. Or i can do make the change on the LUCI GUI. My fear is if the changes will affect anything and I want to know if after I have made the changes if I have to start any service. Any ideas?

Reading the manual...

Seems if you do it from the GUI it "just works". If you do it from the cli or using css command then you have to sync cluster.conf to all nodes. There's also references to man pages in that document so read relevant man pages.

You could also look at cluster.conf with lsof to se if a daemon has an open file handle on it.

I don't use fence and only read some of the manual so YMMV.
