The Cisco website indicates that their software can be run on Redhat. If that is the case, can it also be run on Debian? Is there a need to run CNR? Is there an OPEN source alternative to CNR?
I've not used CNR but it seems that it's a pretty poor relation to other market leaders, e.g. VitalQIP (priiiicey), MetaIP (not so pricey), DiamondIP (in the middle there), in most areas apart from the price tag.
In my research previously, I found very little real open source alternatives for IPAM services. There's phpIP an IPplan, but I don't know if they really cut it.
