change default directory for FTP server
 

hi
whn we install the necessary packages for ftp server we have to copy the necessary files to be hosted in /var/ftp/pub directory.
can we change this location to something else?
a NFS or GFS directory ??

similarly for an apache server the default directory is /var/www/virtual/
is it possible to change it?

which server are you using?

In proftpd you change the
DefaultRoot

i m using vsftpd in RHEL5

Did you even looked in the configuration file?

local_root=
anon_root=
