Centos5.2 and Squid2.7 enable-wccp?

Hello all,

Here's what I'm working with.

Centos5.2 running on a Dell PowerEdge 1900.
4 Gs of Ram
2 Xeon Processors
2 70 Gig Drives running RAID1
/12 Gig swap
/58 Gig /
1 70 Gig Drive
mounted to /cache

Installed
Squid2.7STABLE5
BerkeleyDB 3.2.9
SquidGuard 1.3
wccp

I have not got the GRE Tunnel done yet.

I'm trying to find out if I have to compile with ./configure --enable-wccp.

./configure -h only show --disable-wccp so is wccp enabled by default in 2.7?

OR...
Should I dump Squid2.7 and go with Squid 3?

I have a box running great with 2.7 and squidguard. We are trying to use wccp so we don't have to edit every machine's IE settings (about 2000 computers for a school system). The router is setup and ready, I'm trying to get the Linux box done on my end.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
