centos5.0 with reiserfs problems.

Hi:
I want use reiserfs on my centos5.0.
so I compiled 2.6.28.7 kernel.command:
cp /boot/config-2.6.28.7 .config
make menuconfig(choose reiserfs as M)
make bzImage && make modules && make modules_instalL && make install
then I change /etc/fstab as follow:
/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol01 / reiserfs defaults 1 1
then I backup /dev/VolGroup00/LogVol101 to /dev/E,and format /dev/VolGroup00/LogVol01 as reiserfs.then I restore /dev/E (root)files to /dev/VolGroup00/LogVol01.
but when I use new kernel from grub.it reported:
"Reading all physical volumes. This may take a while.
NO wolume groups found
Volume group "VolGroup00" not found
mount:could not find filesystem '/dev/root/'
Setuproot: moving /dev failed:No such file or directory
Setuprot:error mounting /proc: No such file or directory
Setuproot:mount faild:No such file or directory."
Please help me!!

Choosing / filesystem as a module can't work unless you build an initrd.

Setuprot:error mounting /proc: No such file or directory
Setuprot:error mounting /sys: No such file or directory

Hi,
Did you include support (* not M) for ext3 in your kernel configuration.
Basically, any filesystem used during boot should be built into the kernel as opposed to accessed as a kernel module.

Hope that helps
Mark
