centos vs rhel patching

Hi

I have to patch RHEL and CentOS servers.
I have created local repo with packages from rhn.redhat.com.

My question is whether I can patch RHEL and CentOS with packages from rhn.redhat.com ?

thx for help.

Theoretically, that is possible- but I would suggest that you download the packages from them separately -first because even though CentOS adds or changes very little from the upstream (or RH) sources, they might still change something before they put up the packages in their repo- and second, I believe that you are not allowed to do so as per your license from RH.
