To investigate the bootloader I ran Boot Info Script. From that I could conclude that grub is installed on my raid 1 OS array. And no boot loader is installed on my 5 disk data array. To be sure I redid the command grub-install /dev/sdX for all usb sticks in the OS raid. The error seems to persist though.
Below the quiet long output from the boot info script:
Code:

I am not an expert on raid as I see no use for it.
Correct me for an observation please....are you attempting to have Linux boot up a raid system with vfat formats in that raid?
Were these vfats originally a part of a windows raid system that you want Linux to access?
I have only just spotted you have posted in the server area and I don't run any servers so you may wish to start a new thread on issues for your raid devices?
At the very top of the bootinfoscript, you will see that no Grub code is installed in the MBR of sda through sde. Since you are using GPT and you have an EFI partition on sdf5, that should work. If you also look at the top of the bootinfoscript, you will see that you do have Grub code in the MBR of sdf through sdi. Mixing drives with boot code in the MBR with UEFI/GPT and an EFI partition usually creates problems. I've never used RAID either so I really don't know the solution. You certainly should not need Grub code in the MBR of every drive and you need to either use MBR or UEFI, not both. Hopefully someone more familiar with RAID will post.
