can I copy .gnupg folder to a machine with different username/group?
hi-
I think I backed up my .gnupg but don't know if I can put it in my current home directory. Is this possible? I know now it is better to use export and import. I can't run export because I just backed up home and have switched distros but still use ext4. thx. for any assistance. mtdew3q |
hi-
also don't know if using different gpg2 instead of gpg2 makes a difference. thx. |
Yes. you can copy it to a new /home on a new system under a new username ( and assign correct owner:group)
